Moony is a piece of furniture that came to life as part of an outdoor design project. The preliminary research that accompanied the design looked at the function and aesthetics of objects and furniture in outdoor environments, exploring the interplay between outdoor and indoor spaces. In this particular design, the intention is to blur the boundaries between spatially defined areas, seamlessly integrating the perception of the outdoor product with the warmth of indoor furniture.

This product is a hybrid creation that functions as both a side table and a lantern, responding to the scenario of a pleasant evening spent outdoors, illuminated by soft light. While Moony preserves the natural experience and romance associated with traditional lanterns, it adds an extra function: it can also be used as a side table, with dimensions adapted to different needs. Inspired by the soft shapes of the moon, the table has rounded forms.

The hybrid is resistant to wind and weather and provides subtle lighting without glare. Similar to a lantern, Moony is portable and can be easily moved to any location, making it a reliable companion for the night.
